As a Business Development Consultant – SaaS, you will be responsible for driving new opportunities and revenue with new and existing clients. You will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the Kantar market research agile solutions available on Kantar Marketplace, focusing in on the ways our specialist data can help answer client questions to help them achieve growth. You will be working with an existing prospect list including some of the biggest brands in Belgium, as well as seeking new targets. The role will focus on a portfolio of national and international clients and a requirement to develop and grow mostly new, but also existing relationships.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to commercial targets through individual target performance
  • Take ownership of ‘own business’, developing and maintaining own prospect pipeline
  • Manage the commercial process for Kantar Marketplace from initial inquiry through to final negotiation, together with domain experts
  • Manage client relationships and proactively build the network
  • Lead meetings and ask probing questions to get to the core of client issues
  • Give demos to clients to provide them with a good insight of the opportunities that Kantar Marketplace offers
  • Be an expert in the Kantar market research agile solutions on Kantar Marketplace and assist in building solution-led proposals
  • Work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure that client objectives are accurately transferred

You bring / are

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of work experience; preferably in a marketing or sales role
  • Positive mindset and perseverance with a can-do mentality
  • Good listener & flexible narrator who systematically adapts its communication content and style to it audience
  • Adaptable and open to new content and unforeseen circumstances
  • A proven ability to successfully launch commercial initiatives and to drive revenue
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with external and internal clients
  • Comfortable with a consultative sales & marketing process and making business calls to high-level audiences
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, but with high flexibility to constantly changing circumstances
